A forest – a mysterious place resembling a certain kind of a room, a space, where branches and leaves create a canopy, and tree trunks create walls. A forest is full of nooks, hiding places, mysterious shelters. It is also a space where one can hide, almost disappear, hide from other people, intruders. I am reminded of a phrase I heard as a child: “far, far away”, which evokes not-places places of an imaginative yet existing land. As Piotr Dumała mentioned in one of his interviews, in a forest we loose track of time, because a forest exists beyond time. Personally, in this space I distance myself from everyday problems, immerse myself in another reality. In a forest I find time for contemplation, that leads me to encounters with God. I hide from too many thoughts…
